GPS UNITS

The operational characteristics of the units are as provided from the respective providers (Laminar and Reality XP). We did our best to integrated with the systems of the aircraft, but if you encounter any issues, please read the details in our Support page.

All models, except the G1000, have the option of 3 GPS Units. The default option is Laminar's XPLANE G430, which simulates the Gamrin GNS430.

Pros/Cons: This GPS, if you have Navigraph subcription, can use the latest database, but has not the full functionality of original Garmin GNS430.

RealityXP GNS 430

RXP430

A more capable GPS unit is RealityXP's GNS430.

If you own it and want to use it, activate it from the Plugins menu -> Reality XP GNS -> GNS 430. Make sure that this unit 1 (GNS 430 1) is set as Master device. The aircraft comes with the related configuration file, that setups the correct operation of the unit.

Pros/Cons: This GPS unit simulaters all functions of the original Garmin GNS 430, but uses a dated database.

RealityXP GTN 650

RXP650

The RealityXP GTN650 is a more modern GPS unit, with higher quality graphics and touchscreen controls.

If you are the owner of this unit, activate it through Plugins menu -> Reality XP GTN -> GTN 650, and make sure that the unit 1 (GTN 650 1) is the Master device. The aircraft comes with the related configuration file, that setups the correct operation of the unit.

Pros/Cons: This unit simulates the original Garmin GTN 650, and it is an awesome unit with fantastic capabilities, but uses dated database.
